Meet Amauri Mathis
Amauri is a Certified Birth and Postpartum Doula, as well as a Lactation Educator. She is a proud alumnus of Tennessee State University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in health science. Through her faith and love for birth work, she has learned how to implement her passion for holistic healing and caring for others.
As a doula, Amauri’s role is to provide support, education, and advocacy, while helping guide mothers through the journey of motherhood. She believes that pregnancy is often a time of transformation, filled with anticipation and emotions. It is a journey that can be both challenging and beautiful, highlighting the strength and resilience of the body. Amauri believes that a supportive network, comprising of healthcare providers, doulas, educators, and community resources, is vital in helping families feel empowered and confident throughout these transformative experiences. Amauri is passionate about being a part of this vital support network. What originally brought her into this field is the drive to change the mortality rate of infants and mothers.
Amauri is based out of Acworth in Cherokee County and provides birth support to clients who live within an hour of Acworth. She partners with Rachel Howell for Birth Doula Support. Amauri provides postpartum support to clients who live within an hour of Acworth.
Amauri is a Birth Advocacy Certified Full Spectrum Doula.
